  1. Example: My wife told be that my mother told her that she knew I was a difficult person to live with. Knowing my mother I knew it was total BS.

  2. MODERATION. IT’s not all black and white. There are colors my man. Every situation are different. We cannot group them together or you destroy some of your read relationships with their partner.

  3. whats it called when people have others side with them while they make up lies about you? what is being toksic? is it when they start problems with others so they dont have to try to deal with theyr own problems ? how come toksic people dont know thats what they are all while they cover their lies to look better than others? is that the same? do they ever act honest ?thank you in advance?

  4. This is a good article. And sounds like precisely what is happening to me. There is a person in my life–who tries to make me feel like I am crazy. And throws adult temper tantrums. If I suggest he should be doing more to help me. Feels like I am sitting on a powder keg–so much of the time. It is indeed frustrating. And makes me feel awful. Which is exactly what they are trying to establish. The sad thing is– I have been good to this person.

    1. Me too. I’ve tried to break it off, and they are very verbally abusive. Things you don’t say to you enemies. No matter how much I try not to agitate them. Never anything critical about them or its a violent rage. She tells me things about myself I know arent true. I hate the person she talks about. I’m an analytical person always researching and evaluating. I understand what is happening but I can’t mention it to her. She takes it to personal and attacks. I can’t even help her on projects. She starts telling me I’m stupid. For the record I’m not stupid, but I think she needs to feel superior and dominate. Me trying to break it off hits her self esteem so she has to tear me down and destroy my ego. But then she claims I am the one that attacks her and I’m cruel. I know for a fact thats not true. I put so much effort into avoiding any negative talk. I even tell her not to speak negative about herself. She either plays on my sympathy or she goes after my friends or family if I try to break it off. All my friends have put distance between us and I don’t blame them. This is toxic. Hope you have some luck on your situation. Its a tough go I know.

  5. Unfortunately toxic people in my life are those I love the most & who are closest to me 💔. I have to walk on eggshells and watch every word I speak because they twist & turn everything I say & do to turn it against me. I can ignore outsiders, but when it comes from your closet family members, it’s hard.

  6. I am so sorry… you might have to step away from them or whatever you feel comfortable doing. Most of my family was toxic as well in a sense and that hurt. Little by little I quit going to their house. I felt so much better – You have to take care of You!

  7. All I know is with family, if I don’t give in to what the want their mad and I’m the bad one, can’t have an out spoken opinion get dinged, I’m the bad person. I’m old enough now I get it and if their mad their mad so be it. If you don’t like what I have to say then don’t bring it up!
