4. He doesn’t care about staying in touch anymore

Communication between you is not what it used to be. From easy, natural conversations, you’ve now transitioned to tense and awkward moments none of you know how to deal with.

He used to be interested in what you do during the day, flirt every chance he got and now he is withdrawn, absent or ends the conversation abruptly.

It’s not unusual to stay in touch a little bit less as the relationship progresses, especially when you live together.

There’s won’t be as many flirty text messages and endless phone calls as in the beginning but falling out of love means losing interest in staying in touch whatsoever.

    1. Well Tom, what is your point of view ? being a man , how can you tell you girlfriend/ wife isn’t in love with you anymore?

      1. Oh yes we do fall out of love. I had a man string me along for five years, saying that he was saving money for us to get married, and by the time I fell out of love with him and wanted to call it quits suddenly he had enough money for us to get married. But I was done with him

  1. You need say his/her instead of just blaming the guy always. I’m going through this, from her. It goes both ways.

  2. THIS ARTICLE TOTALLY DODGED THE ISSUE. The issue is not that these things happened. The issue is WHY they happened. You can’t beat the dog and still expect him to hunt.

  3. i have been in love with my wife since 1994, we stopped seeing each other in 1995 and didnt see each until 2000, she was married, i had gotten married and we both got divorced. i didnt see her again till 2007 and we resumed our relationship, we got married and have been married and in love with each other ever since….

  4. I have been married for 41 years, so I know a thing or two about marriage. We were madly in love when we first met but we lived very far apart. My husband paid $400 phone bills in the late 70’s, to keep us going. I lived in Missouri and he lived in New York. I thought we could never make it work, due to the distance. He said if I lived there, would you date just me? Two weeks later I got another call from him. He informed me he now lived in Missouri 🙂 He was persistent! Some months later, my husband said the wisest thing to me about marriage I ever heard. He sat me down and said, “No matter how bad it might get at times, divorce is not an option. Before we get married, can you agree? If so, your word must mean something, do not give it lightly.”

Countless times when I was frustrated with him or thought we had fallen out of love, I remembered… “My word must mean something.” We always found a way to work it out together and fall back in love again. When you made your vows… did your WORD mean something?
