8 Signs Your Spouse Doesn’t Find You Attractive Anymore

There are people who say that attraction fades over time and it is completely normal that from time to time, everyone, including those who are married, need a break and…

8. You barely talk

This might come as a surprise to you, because many times, people don’t correlate talking with attractiveness. But in reality, when someone finds somebody else attractive, they want to spend a lot of time together.

And we all know that you can’t stay with someone for several hours and not say a word.

On the other hand, when one of the partners doesn’t find their spouse attractive anymore, it will manifest as a lack of interest. This includes less talking.

If you don’t care enough for someone, you don’t want their company and you only think of how you can get away from their lives slowly, but surely.

When we say that you really talk, it’s not about the “good morning” or the “good night” that you say every day. We are referring to serious conversations when you need their full attention.

If you want a quick fix for this, you can ask your spouse about how their day was, while keeping eye contact. Listen carefully and ask questions that will lead to further conversation.

  1. Yes, she spent several months mad at everything and said she didn’t like me anymore. I let time pass and now she is acting differently. Maybe not great at communication, but more loving and some communicating.

    1. Hi Merle, does this come from one of three things, lack of true communication when you say hurtful things .Does it have to do with lack of sleep and nutritional deficiency. Or lack of emotional connection?

      1. I should’ve followed my instincts after our first date. That being said, I can’t imagine life without my sons. I’ve observed that if a woman doesn’t respect you, your fate is essentially sealed, she’ll never really give herself to you. But she will stay married (provided she perceives she’s safer and more secure with you than without you).
This is a primary driver for a man to have a concubine. And yes, there are women who are willing to accept – even embrace – that “status.” If a man has the courage and integrity to first do what they can to obtain their wives respect AND – regardless of the outcome – continue to love & provide the security their wife needs, ironically, he, his wife, concubine and children can – so to speak – make lemonade from lemons.
Very difficult to successfully negotiate and achieve, without a doubt (especially in today’s environment)!
I can already hear the skepticism & antipathy, but 4 decades of marriage, successful sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren are a priori evidence.

  2. Since my first husband had many extramarital encounters ( he was in a rock band), and after my second husband of 21 yeats died, I’ve dated and i always see everything you describe. It’s related to the fear from the first one, but I always see it, and am ready to bail. My self-doubt and fear is what makes them pull away. I think you have all of them right, though.

  3. You should follow this with a “Re-Kindling the Flame” piece with stuff like, (1) Start a hoppy that takes two to do, (2) tell her/him what happened at work today at least three times a week, (3) make meals together, cooking and cleaning up, (4) get a puppy if you don’t have children. (6) listen to what he/she says as you have not been doing that if you are having trouble. and on demonstrating that you want to make it work…

  4. As far as I’m concerned, I CAN CARE LESS if I’m not liked or attractive, I like myself which is important, I’m happy the way I am and always have been; nothing in me has changed only time and getting older, I’m NOT going to change to please anyone, she married me the way I was and I married her the way she was and didn’t asked for her to change her ways. Love is accepting each other the way we are without asking each other to change. Our nuptial vows were “Til Death Do Us Apart.” Either she goes or I go, and the front door it’s always open she’s free to walk out the door anytime she wishes; I’M NOT GOING TO LEAVE MY HOUSE and become homeless, if she’s the unhappy one all I can say it’s bye bye and feel sorry for the next guy.
