In order to make a good impression, try not to eat with your mouth open, play with the cutlery, move your fingers on the table or talk rudely to the waitstaff. As Sujeiry Gonzalez, 39, founder of Love Sujeiry and on-air reVolver Podcasts host has shared with us, she had a really bad date where she was completely grossed out by a man.
She mentioned that she liked this man very much before the date, she even thought he was ‘the one,’ until he started talking with his mouth full and revealed everything he had in there.
Additionally, another etiquette rule that must be followed when you’re eating in a restaurant is putting your phone away, and resist the temptation of answering texts or checking social media, because it will make the other person feel like you’re not interested.
