1. The wife won the lottery
Every time we say that money is not important, cash doesn’t mean affection, or just like Jennifer Lopez would say, “Love Don’t Cost a Thing”, it seems like money actually is ALL that matters! Why is that, you might ask?
Unfortunately, there is no correct answer for that. Let’s take a couple from California for example. They met when they were teenagers, they fell in love and they ended up getting married.
Love everywhere, affection all the way, all that until she decided to try winning the lottery. She did it as a secret, so no wonder why everyone was shocked when she filed for divorce after 25 years of a happy and healthy marriage.
Two years after the split, it was discovered that the woman had won over $1 million in the California Lottery. She was not greedy for love but greedy for money. She wanted to keep all the money for herself, so she decided to say “bye-bye” to her husband.
Somehow, the truth got out and a judge decided that she had to give ALL the money to her ex-partner.
What can we say? She is poor and also single!
2. He bet his wife on a poker game
Well, well, well, if this isn’t something similar to a comedy scene, I don’t know what is! We know that in movies, men tend to bet their belongings, such as cars and money, but never their wives! What comes next, betting their kids?
But what can you do when you are in the middle of the game, and ran out of money? Well, you can’t get out of the game, because you don’t want other people to say you are a coward. You stay and think deeply, and you realize that you have a wife at home, and maybe your colleagues would like her.
And so you bet on your wife. This is exactly what happened in Russia when a man ran out of money at a poker game, so he decided to give away his wife as a prize. He wasn’t lucky that night, so he lost.
After a while, his wife found out about the fun night and she decided to actually divorce him for the person who won the poker game.
3. He was too sweet for her
At first, in my mind, I would’ve wondered what woman doesn’t like it when her husband is affectionate, sweet, nice, and also a good cook? Pardon me, but I was wrong, not everybody likes that.
For instance, a woman named Rashida Lucas was married to a man who was so in love with her, that he couldn’t help himself but declare his love to her. Her husband used to tell his wife “I love you” too often.
On top of that, he was always cooking, which made her gain weight. She felt like this man was too nice for her, so she decided to let him go.
Uhm… where do I sign up for a husband like this?

I can see why a person would want to get divorced over politics. Who you vote for is a value statement. It is what expresses your personal values. So if values are important for you, and you don’t view politics as a game, it is very understandable.
