Fights between relatives or families have been a “trend” since the beginning of the time. If you think about it, even in the Bible there is an enormous feud between brothers, when Cain kills Abel.
For us, the people who are watching TV, but don’t appear on TV, some of the conflicts between celebrities can seem simple exaggerations, due to the fact that we also fight with people, but nobody broadcasts that.

1. Jay-Z and Solange Knowles
Nothing compares with a good old-fashion fight between a husband and his sister-in-law. A video posted by TMZ shows us Jay-Z while he is being punched by his wife’s sister, Solange Knowles. The video was taken by the security camera that was in the elevator where those two had a fight at the Met Gala party in 2014.
Neither of the partakers said anything explanatory about the incident, but both of them, as well as Beyoncé, affirmed publicly that this was their first serious misunderstanding.
Even though we don’t what caused this issue, at least we are aware of the fact that the problem is now solved.
2. Michael and Lindsay Lohan
In 2014, Lindsay Lohan and her dad, Michael, had a big fight publicly. Her father said that many of his daughter’s friends are not a good influence on her, but it seems like she didn’t agree with that and started losing her cool. Michael saw that and continued saying that it’s not brand new information, it’s just something that Lindsay has confirmed as well, but she just doesn’t want to admit.
Angry with her father, the celebrity said that either way, her dad wasn’t good to her for a long period of time. Both Lindsay and Michael had serious trouble with substance abuse in their life.
Looks like somebody had daddy issues…
3. Jennifer Aniston and Nancy Dow
The well-known actress from “F.R.I.E.N.D.S.”, Jennifer Aniston, told the press about her troubled childhood. After the divorce of her parents, the TV star continued living with her mother, but they didn’t have a close relationship.
According to Jennifer, her mother was more concerned about the physical appearance of her daughter, rather than her emotional state. In 1999, Nancy Dow launched a memoir, “From Mother To Daughter To Friends: A Memoir”, in which she describes her relationship with Aniston. This book was the ultimate thing that made those two go separate ways.
Dow died in 2016, on May 25th. Now, Jennifer says that the troubled childhood she had has helped her transform into the woman she is today. Also, the TV star affirmed that now she understands that her mother wasn’t trying to be mean, but only love her.
4. Madonna and Christopher Ciccone
The conflict between the brother and sister started when Christopher wrote a book called “Life With My Sister Madonna”. The pop star didn’t like the way her sibling portrayed her, so the dispute began.
Christopher Ciccone was his sister’s backstage dresser for about 20 years. Ciccone referred to Madonna as being a mean, bossy, moody and sweaty person and he also added that the pop queen didn’t pay him enough through out the years.
The main focus of the book isn’t Madonna’s achievements, but he way she mistreated her brother. Over the years, these two succeeded in conciliating their relationship, especially due to their father, who was a big part of the make up plan.
5. Angelina Jolie and Jon Voight
Jon Voight cheated on his wife, Marcheline Bertrand, and left her and their two children: Angelina and James. Both kids said that their father abused their mother mentally for many years.
Growing up without him, Angelina developed some abandonment issues and she’s not close to Jon Voight. The two actors played the role of a daughter and a father in the movies “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” and in “Lookin’ To Get Out”, but this wasn’t enough for their relationship.
After Marcheline Bertrand died in 2007, Jolie and Voight tried to reconciliate, but their relationship was always on and off. Now it is believed that these two are talking, but aren’t confidential to each other.
I guess it’s not that easy to fight publicly with someone and the whole world to judge you, but we have to admit that celebrities’ lives are always interesting and fascinating.
Sometimes it’s hard to believe that not every single thing they have it’s perfect. At the end of the day, they are humans as well and they have real problems they need to fight.
