Even though life with children is not easy, you need to respect the fact that your in-laws might not have the possibility or the time to help you, as they might have other things on their plate.

But it could also be a probability that they’re not offering their help because they didn’t know you needed it. So the next time you feel overwhelmed, let your in-laws know how you feel, chances are they are happy to help you.

Maybe they’re not trying to set boundaries, but they simply don’t know if you want their help or not, so it would be best to ask them if they’re interested in spending more time with their grandchild or babysit when you have to go to work.
