It is perfectly normal to feel a little angry sometimes. You can’t be always positive, energetic and in a good mood. Although there is nothing wrong with that, it doesn’t mean this should be your normal.

Being always angry can make you feel tired, upset, unmotivated and sluggish. If you find yourself getting all fired up even from really small things, it may be a clue that you have developed some anger issues.

If you are not sure about that, keep on reading this article and let’s find out what things indicate that a person has too much anger built up.

Let’s begin:

1. Verbal Outbursts

This is the most common thing when it comes to anger issues. If you feel like you get pumped up really quickly when there’s something you don’t agree with, you are more likely to outburst verbally. You feel like you can’t control your thoughts and your words and the only way out is to let everything come out.

Anger can build up easily for you and it can be released in forms such as impulsivity, verbal aggression or rage. You may say that you don’t behave like that on purpose, but these verbal outburst episodes you might experience can effect your brain, your focus, your career, relationships and even your sleep schedule.

It is hard, but try and count to five next time when you feel like you can’t control your thoughts and the words that are coming out of your mind. This way, you get a little chance to think for a second, before shouting everything out loud.

2. You Get Fidgety Easily

When someone says or does something you don’t like, you feel like your heart is going to explode. You may find that it is hard to control your emotions and you are more likely to say something you will regret later.

Learn to listen to the other person, ask why that happened, look for reasons and say your opinion in a calm way, without getting all fired up. Think about it like this: it will matter in 5 hours that you expressed your point of view in an angry way? Will you be sorry about that? If you won’t have a good feeling about these things in 5 hours, it means that you need to learn how to control your emotions and the way you express your feelings.

3. You Always Think Of The Worst

When you have a problem, you tend to blame the people around you for your bad luck and you are more likely to start an argument with somebody.

You can’t express your judgments without getting a little angry.

You tend to rationalize your negative judgments and come up with an excuse for your negative behavior by saying that you don’t do anything bad, it’s other people who are overreacting.

You find that people near you seem quiet when you are around and they don’t want to talk to you.

You feel like your anger makes you powerful.

You make other people upset – even though you don’t intend to – when you get all fired up.

If you answered “yes” to most of these affirmations, then you know that this is an indicator you should make some changes in your behavior.

4. You Feel Angry With Yourself And Unhappy

It is normal to not feel your best always, but that doesn’t mean you should let yourself down every time you see an opportunity to do that. If you don’t know how to manage your thoughts, you can try and talk to someone or maybe go to a therapist.

There are people who blame themselves for some unfortunate things, but this won’t help you be a better person, but make you feel empty, unhappy and worthless. There’s a difference between being humble and lacking confidence.

In order to solve your problems, you need to acknowledge them first.

TAKEAWAY

You should let your feelings out, not keep them in your mind until you explode. You can say everything you want to, as long as you do it in a nice, calm way, that won’t hurt anybody.

Being angry is part of human nature, but sometimes it can be too much – for you and also for your loved ones.

Long story short, don’t be afraid to ask for help when you feel like you can’t do it on your own. Better safe than sorry, especially when it comes to people around your, your career and your day to day life.
