1. We prioritize early bedtimes
As an American parent, you probably insist that your children go to sleep early every night because you want them to sleep as many hours as they need, but also because you need some alone time where you can relax.
However, things are a little different in other European countries, where parents are not so strict when it comes to their children’s bedtimes. In fact, in Spain, parents prioritize social and interpersonal development, so they allow their kids to stay up late every night, until 10 p.m. or so.
During this time, children and socialize and interact with the other family members and they’re also allowed to participate in evening activities.
